Canine Tooth





In mammals, the canine teeth have a single, sharp point and they are shaped for piercing and gripping.


Canine teeth are towards the front of the jaw and they are highly developed in carnivores.


In some mammals, canine teeth have been modified into curved tusks, for example in walruses, warthogs and wild boar.
