Marsh Mongoose are medium-sized and they have a body length between 46 and 62 cms (18 - 24 inches), a tail length between 32 and 53 cms (12.6 - 21 inches) and they weigh between 2.5 and 4.1 kgs (5.5 - 9 lbs).
Marsh Mongoose can be found in swampy, marshy areas in Africa.
Marsh Mongoose are omnivores and they feed on a wide variety of foods such as, crabs, mussels, snails, reptiles, birds, insects, eggs and fruit.
Marsh Mongoose breed twice a year, once during the dry season and once during the wet season. After a gestation period of approximately 76 days females give birth to 2 youngsters.
